8 Albert Embankment is a mixed-use scheme by developer U+I in partnership with the London Fire Commissioner.
The site, which overlooks the Thames and the Houses of Parliament, houses the iconic Lambeth fire station and former Fire Brigade headquarters. The final development, designed by Pilbrow & Partners, will include a contemporary fire station, a hotel with residential and employment space and new public realm with ground floor shops and cafes. The scheme proposals also integrate new build and restoration of two listed building on the site.
MSMR have been appointed to consult on the residential and hotel elements of the scheme. Working in collaboration with Pilbrow & Partners, our work has focused on optimising the residential layouts and rationalisation of the hotel element, assisting with the design of the scheme for planning.
