Morden Wharf

Location Greenwich
Client U+I

Morden Wharf is the site of a 19-acre masterplan for the southwestern end of the Greenwich Peninsula. The scheme by developer U+I proposes a mix of industrial, commercial, office and residential use, with a new public park along the riverfront. Designed by OMA, the site will be dramatically transformed to become an ‘iconic destination for London's Royal Borough of Greenwich’.

Working in collaboration with lead architect OMA, MSMR is appointed to help develop U+I’s vision for the site. This includes the design and coordination of over 1500 residential apartments spread across five 8-11 storey mansion blocks, two 15-19 storey, mid-rise blocks and four towers, ranging from 21-37 storeys.

Using a strategic space planning approach, which respects the evolving façade design, MSMR has developed the mix and distribution of apartments to maximise site efficiency, optimise layouts and to create a well-balanced spread of tenures across the scheme. MSMR is also advising on the layout and distribution of commercial, community, amenity and ancillary uses at ground and basement level.
