MSMR has successfully obtained planning consent for the comprehensive redevelopment of an important city centre site in the heart of St Albans.
A masterplan has been developed to initiate the regeneration of the site introducing new uses and activities, creating new pedestrian routes and public spaces, and providing a vibrant mix of ground floor retail spaces, office accommodation and residential apartments.
The design responds to the scale and architectural diversity of St Albans. Varied elevational treatment, together with carefully considered detailing and material selection, aims to create a dynamic composition of buildings which responds positively to its context.
Within the overall masterplan MSMR has already achieved consent to convert a redundant 1960s office building for re-use NHS accommodation at lower ground and ground floor and 21 apartments above.
