19 Portland Place, a Grade II-listed townhouse in Marylebone, has been sensitively redeveloped for the Howard de Walden Estate. The 5-storey building plus basement had recently served as a single, self-contained office and now accommodates serviced workspace for multiple tenants with shared amenity spaces. Now operated by Spacemade, the building is designed to support the growing community of health-tech innovators within the Harley Street Health District.
A diverse range of spaces caters to different working methods and business needs with private offices of varying sizes, some equipped with dedicated meeting rooms and call booths. Shared amenities include a staffed reception, bookable meeting rooms, an external courtyard and a lounge designed to foster community collaboration. Tenants have access to the neighbouring community hub designed by MSMR at 76-78 Portland Place.
Historic features and finishes are carefully preserved. The ornate ceiling at first-floor level inspires the texture in bespoke joinery and colour palette throughout. Modern furniture creates a hospitality setting tailored to meet the evolving demands of young businesses. 19 Portland Place offers a workspace that is both inspiring and highly functional.
