MSMR has completed work at AMPL Estate’ Knightsbridge Gate. The development is one of the longest façade retention schemes in London and is a mixed-use, new building behind a Grade II listed façade. The site occupies an entire block along the south side of Knightsbridge.
MSMR joined the team in 2014 as lead architect for the residential elements, including 15 luxury apartments. Our design for the residential areas creates a carefully managed sequence of spaces for residents, as they progress from the street entrance to, and through, their apartment. The design language of the interior draws inspiration from the building’s Edwardian heritage to combine a rich palette of materials, textures and intricate detailing. The project has been completed in collaboration with Dixon Jones Architects (lead architect) and Richard Griffiths Architects (heritage).
