MSMR has secured planning permission for a 13-storey residential building on behalf of Linkway Developments, located within the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) regeneration area. The site forms part of a wider masterplan to create an entirely new district, delivering 25,000 new homes through the long-term regeneration of former industrial land surrounding the new High Speed 2 rail link.
Our design draws inspiration from the area's industrial heritage by reinterpreting the honest materiality and proportions of traditional brick warehouses for a contemporary urban context. Providing 63 private and affordable apartments, the development has been planned to optimise the floorplate and create generous open-plan living spaces. The building's form and orientation have been designed to maximise natural light and frame views of the surrounding context. At street level, residential amenities, retail space, and public realm enhancements will contribute to a vibrant new community.
