A first for MSMR, and in collaboration with artist and curator Isaac Nugent, our studio has been transformed into a temporary art gallery. Given the focus on residential design within MSMR’s own portfolio, the chosen theme for the temporary exhibition is 'HOME'. The installation of over 20 pieces in a variety of media by eight young artists, has been carefully orchestrated throughout the office over an intensive one day period.
On Friday evening the exhibition opened with a private view in the studio, providing our guests with an opportunity to meet and talk with the featured artists over drinks and mince pies.
Speaking about the exhibition, Nugent said,
"For some of the artists, 'HOME' is simply the physical environment where they belong, while for others it is more about the people that inhabit this environment. Some have adopted a figurative response, reflecting their desire to tell stories about places that are important to them, while others have deployed a more abstract language in consideration of spatial and architectural themes."
