MSMR were appointed by luxury property developer REDD to design and deliver the comprehensive refurbishment and extension of 6 Charles Street.
This Mayfair mansion block, originally built in the mid-19th century and located close to Berkeley Square, was once home to John Ruskin, the renowned Victorian writer and philosopher.
The refurbishment works include the construction of a mansard storey to provide a duplex penthouse and reconfiguring the internal layouts of 11 apartments. The project also includes the neighbouring mews which have been rebuilt and extended by one floor, providing two three-bedroom duplex apartments.
Working with interior designers 1508 London, the design blends the heritage features of the original neo-classical building with modern luxury.
