We were lucky enough to visit the port city of Rotterdam on our office field trip this year.
Catching an 08:04 train on Friday morning meant an early start for us, and after changing at Brussels we arrived in a grey but dry Rotterdam shortly after lunch.
We spent the afternoon on foot touring the centre's architectural sights before taking water taxis to our dinner destination in the Kralingen-Oost district.
And for those up to it, Saturday morning started with a restorative breakfast followed by another walking tour of new developments in the Kop van Zuid district.
Most of our group extended their stay and enjoyed a second night in the city.
