From staff fundraising and charitable donations, to skilled volunteering and pro-bono work, MSMR’s creative collaborations extend out into the local Waterloo neighbourhood and the wider communities that surround our projects. Our aim? To enhance the social, economic and environmental impact of our business in the places where we work.
Recent projects include a design for accessible planting beds for the St John’s Church and Lambeth council community gardens team. In Hounslow, we have developed ideas for the transformation of a disused area in Gunnersbury Park (adjacent to Apt Living), into a community kitchen garden and meeting space.
We believe that forging links beyond our projects generates positive benefits for all and we're not afraid to get involved! We've quizzed with the NLA and Walton Wagner, we've dined and donated for Caudwell Kids Charity and The Lighthouse Club, we've run around London in chicken costumes for the Architect's Benevolent Society, and cycled, canoed and even space-hoppered for charity as part of the annual Buccleuch Property Challenge.
Closer to the office, the whole MSMR team regularly contributes to the Waterloo Food Bank, the We are Waterloo Christmas appeal and the Crisis at Christmas appeal.
As the practice grows, we want to ensure we develop and enhance our social responsibility work. With this in mind, MSMR have become members of Heart of the City, the UK’s largest CSR network, supporting over 600 SME's of all kinds.
