MSMR successfully achieved planning consent for a new-build, mixed-use scheme on a disused waterside site in Battersea. The residential-led scheme provides 118 high quality private and affordable apartments along with flexible commercial space and significant public realm improvements. The scheme’s design responds to the immediate location, surrounding environment and historical context, reflecting the brickwork aesthetic of dockside warehouses. A key objective has been to improve the permeability of the site, which is increased by means of newly formed pedestrian circulation routes, including a route along Ransome’s Dock to the east of the site.
