|Location||City of London|
|Client||UOL Group and Pan Pacific Hotels|
This mixed-use, 43 storey tower in the heart of the City of London, comprises a 237 room, 5* luxury hotel and 160 apartments or ‘Sky residences’. Arranged across the top 21 levels, the apartments offer access to the hotel services below and private amenities above, including a residents’ lounge and bar.
MSMR’s design for the apartments has drawn inspiration from the geometry, patterns and shapes of the PLP-designed tower as well as the spectacular views across the city. The sequence and proportion of spaces has been thoroughly considered and the selection of materials and finishes provide an elegant design response, appropriate to the context of the City and the way people live their lives.
As a result of work on the residential aspect of the tower, MSMR are appointed as delivery architects for Yabu Pushelberg’s interior concept for the hotel. London's first Pan Pacific hotel features an 18th floor Signature Suite and a fourth-floor indoor pool, spa and fitness centre as well as a double-height, subterranean ballroom, (the only one within the Square Mile) which can accomodate 370 guests.
MSMR's collaborative approach with Yabu Pushelberg, PLP and developers Stanhope and UOL has ensured the delivery of an integrated and seamless
design at every level of building.
